Freedom!

I just realized that I swear. Like, a lot.

I’ve just signed up for Zipcar, and am really quite pumped about the whole thing. I have yet to, you know, actually drive one the cars, but the fact that I can choose what car I want and where I want to pick it up is really exciting! Imagine! Groceries! IKEA trips! Beaches! Groceries! Groceries!

I know. My life is very, very dull.

Other than the convenience factor (You can rent by the day or by the hour – the world is your oyster - at the drop of a hat), the price is what really got me. I just reserved a car for three days, and the cost was $160.00 – GAS AND INSURANCE INCLUDED! I rented a sweet little titanium grey Mazda 3 called Maberly. I think I’m in love with her.

Now, as you may remember, this is a HUGE difference from the last time I rented a car. Remember the $350.00 (not including gas) weekend? No? WELL I DO. And it still pisses me off.

But now, now there’s Maberly. And Momento, the red Cooper Mini I am going to rent just for the hell of it. And Trube, the Tacoma pick-up for those ‘I’m-from-Northern Ontario-and-I-drive-a-big-truck’ days.

Ahhh. Sometimes, it’s the little things. And big trucks.
