Look at this dog.
She’s so comfortable I just want to disturb her. Even her legs are crossed for goodness sake.
She’s taken to sleeping with her legs propped up more and more – must be a comfort thing.
Sometimes in the middle of the night I’ll feel movement beside me in bed. My first reaction is “OH MY GOD! I really hope this is what I think it is!”
But then I realize it’s just Roxy, slowly sliding and shifting herself so she can lean against my body. Usually she puts her butt by my head, and her head by my feet. I’m hoping it’s because this gives her a better position to attack intruders with….although it may have to do with the way my feet smell.
Who knows.
Her head is on my FAVOURITE boots of all time. I wear them so much that my boss told me to stop wearing them at work.
Oops.
But these rubber boots are famous! They’ve been on tv!
That other thing beside her head is Roxy’s absolutely favourite thing in the world, Bill the Pig. Actually, it’s Bill the Pig the Second. Bill the Pig the First is on top of my corner cabinet.
He used to have eyes, ears and a tail, but Roxy played with him so much he lost them all. I tried to sew him up as best I could since she liked him so much. I’m not a very good seamstress though; eventually, he just started to look like a giant pink blob.
I know, I know…I should just ditch it, right? But he was Roxy’s first love! It’s hard to say goodbye to first loves.
Until they start to stink. And when Bill the Pig the First starts to smell, he’s gone.
Sorry, Rox.
