Conversations With My Mother: Translation Edition

I talk to my mom everyday. Either I stop by her place or we talk on the phone. It's quite funny sometimes, because she says stuff and I'm like HUH? But then I realize what she's trying to say and have to find a delicate way to correct her. Here are some of my favourites (Sorry Mom!):
  1. "Look! I bought a folk-a-see-ya bread!" Translation: Focaccia bread.
  2. "I really want FYI in my house." Translation: WiFi.
  3. "I made quinola!" Translation: Quinoa.
  4. "Do you think I should get a see-I-bought-a-bread?" Translation: Ciabatta bread.
  5. "I got aqua-puncture." Translation: Acupuncture.
  6.  "I'd love some tai-chi." Tranlsation: Chai tea.
She's a treat, my ma.
