Thelma and Louise, my mom's new washer and dryer!
Remember my mom's new windows? And how happy she was? Well, when she bought those windows her name was entered in a draw for these two beauties and SHE WON!
My mother has never won anything in her life. It was like a real-life Price is Right at her house...screaming and giggling included. She actually called the guy back just to make sure he had called.
I'm not kidding.
They were delivered today and my poor brother had to come and level them. He had a good time.
I don't know if you can tell by mom mom's captions, but she's just a wee bit excited. The old ones were like, 15 years old. You needed a wire hanger to get the lint trap out on the dryer. And everytime they worked, my mom kissed them.
Again, not joking.
So now, she has beautiful front loading machines that use half the water, are quiet and look, well, absolutely gorgeous. FRONT LOADING, QUIET MACHINES - another first for my ma.
They are so quiet in fact that my mom wondered if they were actually working. From her latest email: "... I kept checking to make sure that: 1) It was going and, 2) there was water in it. Next I am going to try out my dryer! "
And she sent along this photo as proof that it was actually working:
And just in case you didn't believe the photo, she put a caption on that too.
